1. What is your idea of happiness?
My idea of happiness is being at peace, no matter how briefly, with where you are and what you're doing.2. Where would you most like to live?
I would most like to live in a place where I can pursue the profession I wish and preferably a place with decent live music.
3. What is your favorite
virtue?
My favorite virtue is humility. Few things are worse than a person who takes him or herself far too seriously. I try to take the view that I don't take myself too seriously, but I take the things I do a little more seriously. This keeps my head from swelling to dangerous proportions.
4. What do you most value in
your friends?
In friends, I most value a sense of humor. It is hard to maintain a good friendship with someone with whom you can't laugh.
5. What is your biggest
weakness?
My biggest weakness is a tendency to try to come to peoples' rescue. It can get me in over my head far too quickly.
6. What do you enjoy doing
most?
The thing I most enjoy doing is working with artists in the recording studio. This is a good thing, considering I want to work in that field in the future.
7. What is your most marked
characteristic?
My most marked characteristic is probably my hat. I am always wearing one, and if ever I'm not, people look at me as if I forgot to put my head on that morning.8. If
not yourself, who would you like to be?
I'm not sure who I'd be if not myself, because I'm not really entirely sure how to even be myself yet. Considering who I am is constantly changing, I've already been quite a few people. Some of them are better than others.9. Who
are your favorite musicians?
My favorite all-time musicians are John Linnell and John Flansburgh of They Might Be Giants. They have continually released fresh and interesting music since 1982, and I do my best to see them play live whenever they're nearby.
10. Who are the heroes and
heroines in your life?
There is no single individual I can call my hero. I could always say my Dad, even though that sounds corny. One thing I can say with certainty is that anytime I have a candy cigarette, for a few minutes I'm Rod Serling.
11. What is your present state of mind?
My present state of mind is Pennsylvania.
12. What do you most dislike?
13. How would you like to die?
I would like to die in older age without much advance warning.
14. What is your biggest pet
peeve?
My biggest pet peeve is people who are proud of being hipsters.
15. What is your motto?
My motto is, "I can't complain, but sometimes I still do."
